Consumer-led change: South Korea upgrades recycling symbol requirements for food and beverage packaging

After a consumer survey showed that the current instructions and symbols were helpful, although not helpful, the Korean Ministry of Environment updated the recycling symbols and instructions. 

Conumer feedback provided a better insight in how consumers approach the recycling process. And although there is a systemt in place, the feedback showed that the instructions and there for their part in the process wa unclear and lacking. 

The ministry enlarged the symbols so they were more visible and extended the instructions in how to handle the recycling as a consumer.
